FAQ - Pawska
What is Pawska? - Pawska is a brand new 3 day furry convention in Gdansk, Poland.
When should I arrive? - The main days of the convention are the 28,29, and 30th of November. There are 3 Full days of convention, including the last day, meaning if you'd like to attend all the standard days, you will book your room from 28th November to 1st of December. Extra days can also be added during registration if needed.
What is there to do at Pawska? - Due to the massive venue we hired, we can offer our attendees a Dealers Den, Dancefloor, Relax Zone, and several panels and events to attend to keep yourself busy. You can also book the Spa during your stay to give yourself some much needed relaxation.
Do I need to book a room to attend Pawska? - Individuals living in Gdansk are allowed to buy a confee ticket without needing to book a stay in the hotel. However - having a room booked at the convention gives you a much greater experience versus having to travel back and forward from your house to the convention. It is compulsory to book a room for Pawska for attendees living outside of Gdansk, and can easily be done via our form where you can book the type of room that you want.
How does registration work? - On our Registration day, visit this website and go to the 'Registration - Pawska' webpage. On here, a form will appear for you to put in your information and to pay for your confee. Here you can add a sponsor and choose how you'd like to pay.
You will get an e-mail confirming your Registration, and if there are rooms left over in main, you will be sent a 2nd form to fill out with all of the room information. Only 1 person is responsible for filling this form in for the entirety of the occupants in the room. Make sure you talk with your roomies about how many days you will be staying, if you will be adding breakfast and any other details we ask. After this, we will send you another e-mail to confirm your booking. Please be aware that you may not get your room of choice if it is no longer available anymore, and you will be given the next best option.
Is Pawska Fursuit Friendly? - Absolutely! There is a lot of floor space plus a patio to go explore. and since we have rooms on-site and we will have a Fursuit Lounge with fans, ice cold water and fursuit reparation materials, it is absolutely worth to take your fursuit with you, as we will be extremely accommodating for that.
I don't speak Polish and/I am not Polish, does that matter? - Absolutely not! The event will be multi-language (English and Polish) and signage and registration and everything else will be in both languages and staff on site can speak both languages as well. We will also be very accommodating for people outside of Poland and try to help you on how to get here if you are coming from over the border somewhere.
I am the one that booked a room for my roomie and I, What are my responsibilities as room owner? - If you are the one that filled in the room booking form for a room in Hotel Amber (Main), then your name will be on the booking and you will be solely responsible for changing dates/breakfast options for everyone in the room and will also be held responsible for damage/behaviour in the room. You must inform the convention staff via sending an email to volskarfurevents@gmail.com to add extra days (early arrival, late departure) and for changing breakfast options (who in the room wants breakfast or not for example).
Do I have to inform Pawska who my roomies are? (Hotel Amber only) - No, it does help us get an overview who is where however it is not mandatory. Just keep in mind your name will solely be on the booking as the room owner, and there is no system for 'adding' someone to your room. At check-in, you inform you are the room owner and introduce your roomie(s) as the one sharing the room with you so they can also get keycards for the room.
Is breakfast included? (Hotel Amber only) - No, you must have added this option on the room booking form. Either request to Pawska Staff to add this to your room if you didn't or ask your roomie who is the room owner to change it for you.
Where and when do I pay for the hotel? (Hotel Amber only) - At reception, either during check-in or check-out. To make it easier for the hotel, try to work out what everyone owes when splitting the bill, and keep in mind different roomies may have a bigger/smaller cut to pay if they spent extra/less days at the hotel.
Can I make parties and at what time do I have to be quiet? (Hotel Amber only) - Please check the rules PDF on this webpage and go to the roomparty rules section to read the rules on hosting roomparties and the amount of noise you can make. Roomparties are encouraged however they should hardly be audible from 2AM onwards
What is the cuddle/relax zone? - Located in Sala C; a place with a long line of air matresses for you and your friends to use to lay on to relax, to cuddle up together for a much needed relaxing break at the convention. There will be relaxing soft music playing complimented by galaxy projectors to make a nice area to put your paws up. It will be open 24/7 for attendees to make use of this. Just please remember that this zone is not meant to sleep at!
How do I upload an art/fursuit photo for my badge? - email an art piece of your fursona OR you can use a fursuit photo to volskarfurevents@gmail.com. Keep in mind that the image will be 500x500 on your card badge, thus try not to upload a full-body image.
